Remote Access

The Remote Access service allows users access to select Shelby County Government business systems while, offsite or out-of-office.

  • What are the features provided by this service?
    • Remote control of office PC
    • Access authorized business systems via the internet or mobile technology, as if you were in the office or onsite
  • How do I request or access this service?
    • For County Employees: Have a manager or supervisor submit a Computer Access Request Form to ITS and attach a signed copy of the Acceptable Use Policy and VPN Request Form.
    • For Vendors: Have a Shelby County sponsor submit a Computer Access Request Form to ITS and attach a signed copy of the Acceptable Use Policy, VPN Request Form, and  Confidential Data Vendor Agreement.
  • What are the requirements/pre-requisites for this service?
    • Vendors must have a County Sponsor.
  • What is the turn around time for service delivery?
    • 16 Business Hours
  • What are the responsibilities of customer?
    • Adherence to Acceptable Use Policy.

    • Available 24/7 *Except during scheduled maintenance windows.
